HSMW MELF Resistors

Welwyn / TT Electronics High Surge MELF Wirewound (HSMW) Resistors withstand up to 6.5J fast inrush energies with a 1W continuous power rating in a compact SMD MELF format. These surge tolerant resistors deliver up to 3.8kV of protection against 1.2µs/50µs lightning surges and feature failsafe mains fusing at 120VRMS/240VRMS. The resistor use wirewound technology with a UL-recognized fusing performance with short fusing times at low power overloads. Typical applications include power supplies, white goods controllers, building control systems, and cordless product chargers.
