EPCOS Varistors

SMD Disk Varistors (CU Varistors)

TDK SMD Disk Varistors (CU Varistors) provide high-surge voltage capability up to 2kV for 10/700µs in a cylindrical varistor element-encapsulated design. These RoHS compatible varistors offer high surge load capability according to IEC 61000-4-5. TDK SMD Disk Varistors are matched to line conditions with or without superimposed ringing voltages. Typical applications include EMI protection for line cards in switching exchange systems and terminal devices such as telephones, fax, and modems.

EPCOS / TDK offers various types of varistors and thermistors that provide voltage and noise suppression as well as temperature measurement and compensation in automotive applications. 

Ceramic Transient Varistors

TDK EPCOS Ceramic Transient Varistors feature very low capacitance range of 0.6 to 10pF and bidirectional ESD protection in one component. These devices exhibit no change in ESD protection performance at temperatures and ESD protection to IEC 61000-4-2, level 4. The Ceramic Transient Varistors offer up to 85°C (temperature derating), low parasitic inductance, low leakage current, and <0.5ns fast response time. Applications include industrial, mobile phones, consumer electronics, and interfaces.
