WR-FFC FFC & WR-FPC ZIF Connectors

Würth Elektronik WR-FFC Flexible Flat Cable (FFC) and WR-FPC ZIF Connectors reduce the size, weight, and assembly cost. These types of connectors are increasingly common in several applications, especially where a connection to a small display (screen) or keyboard is needed. WR-FFC cables offer pre-folded products that can be adjusted for different lengths. These pre-folded cables are available in 0.50mm and 1mm pitch in three lengths: 120mm to 200mm, 165mm to 350mm, and 280mm and 500mm.

WR-FPC LIF & ZIF Connectors

Würth Elektronik WR-FPC Product Family includes SMT 1.00mm and 0.5mm pitch LIF (Low Insertion Force) Connectors along with ZIF Connectors. LIF Connectors have become increasingly common in several applications, such as when a small display (screen) or keyboard is required. LIF connectors were developed to meet a combination of requirements: low profile, lightweight, and a secure removable connection. The connectors can be used to fasten wires to a printed circuit board inside a piece of electronic equipment as a one-connector solution. On a printed circuit board, LIF connectors can be used with flat flexible cables, WR-FFC series. Compared to ZIF, LIF connectors are better for static applications because they use friction to secure the FFC, contain no moving parts, and are more cost-effective.
